Destination : Los Angeles (City Of Angels) 19 Oct - 29 Oct 09 [Part 2]

A 2hour drive on Day 6 brought us to SeaWorld in San Diego. Haziq was being a brat there and I almost lost my temper. Of all the animal shows there, I am so loving Shamu. Its like a hugeeee whale and even when you are seated up on the 16th row of the Shamu Stadium (yes! Shamu has its own stadium!!), you can still get wet.

The next day, we took another long drive to San Diego. This time to the zoo. They claimed to have the world's best zoo there. Traffic was terrible and to me, aside from the elephant kingdom, there was nothing much to brag about. Just that Haziq loves animals and so, the zoo trip was especially for him.

Its finally time for shopping on Day 8. We drove up to Camarillo premium outlets where one will be greeted by 160 labels such as Coach, Kate Spade, A/X, Aldo, etc. You name it. They have it. 8 straight hours of retail therapy work wonders for me. And the price difference. Despite shopping in USD, it was well worth it. Imagine Levis at USD 19.99, Aldo gladiator heels at USD 49.99. I can go ballistic just reminding myself of the crazy shopping there. Its a definite must-go if you are intending to shop in LA.

We went to Costa Mesa shopping Centre the following day. But not before stopping by their 2 storey F21. I spent an hour or so in that store itself! So much things to look at. And fickle me could not decide what to get. Can you imagine F21 jeans at USD12.99? How to decide which jeans to get? Costa Mesa is a high end shopping centre and they actually sold a limited edition LV clutch for USD 500! Is that friggin cheap or whaatt? But I did not get that clutch cos its way too small for me. I think it could only fit a card or two and maybe a mobile phone.

We stopped by for a Hollywood celebrity homes tour. The 3hour costs us USD 50/pax. It was a top down bus and despite it being Autumn, it was super chilly and it got a tad too cold later in the evening. We walked to the the Hollywood Walk of Fame where the stars belonging to famous celebrities were located. I did not get many pictures there as my camera went dead on me in Hollywood.

We returned to DisneyLand on the evening of Day 9 for their Halloween fireworks show - Halloween Screams. Waited 2 hours for a 20mins show. Well worth the wait, i tell you. The special effects, sounds were so WOW! One word describes the entire fireworks experience. Magical. That marked the end of our 10 day trip to LA.

I am so saving up to make a return trip there someday. Maybe not LA, but Chicago or NYC.
Anna, lets go!
